Best kids-friendly cafés in Brussels
Lloyd Louise

The first recommendation on our list is Lloyd Louise close to Avenue Louise near the city center. This kids-friendly café has a separate playroom with a variety of toys and books, perfect for a family outing on a rainy day. The café has a wide range of activities for children, from a Lego wall to colorful play mats and toys. Since the play area is a separate room with glass walls, it is perfect for toddlers and younger kids – and you can just sit and enjoy your coffee while watching the kids playing. The café also serves delicious food and drinks, so you and your kids can enjoy a tasty meal together. We have a soft spot for their Kinder Bueno donuts!

The café also has a play area with toys and games for children and a funny car, and a café area with a wide selection of food and drinks. This café is perfect for a family outing on a rainy day, as it has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon of relaxation and fun.

Dînette

One of the most popular kids-friendly cafés in Brussels is Dînette. This kids-friendly café is located in Uccle and is the perfect spot for a family outing. The café has a variety of activities for younger kids, especially babies and toddlers, including books, games, and more. There is a small play area upstairs as well (no eye contact from the tables)

Here are some photos from the upstair area

There is also a small yard in the back

Rue Vanderkindere 159, 1180 Bruxelles
Chicago
Another place worth checking out is Chicago. Located in the heart of Brussels near St Catherine, Chicago is a great place for younger kids. The small play corner is suitable for younger kids, especially toddlers and babies. There’s also an on-site café with a selection of snacks and drinks for the whole family. Atelier Tipi
Another great kids-friendly café in Brussels is Atelier Tipi. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is very accommodating to families. They organize story reading time and other workshops. There is also an outdoor seating area, which is perfect for a sunny day as there’s grass right next to it and no cars are passing.

Leopold

If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, head to Leopold café. The small play area is structured like a tree house! There is no eye contact from the tables and due to the rope stair this is not ideal for toddlers. It’s best for kids 3-5 years old that are old enough to enjoy the tree house and won’t stop climbing up and down. And when it’s time to refuel, the café offers a selection of snacks and drinks for the whole family.

La Cafet’
Café with an indoor play area and a jumping castle right next to Roodebeek park. This is temporary place – which we hope would turn into permanent

Right next to the café you can find the Roodebeek small playground with fenced toddler area and a mini zoo with farm animals, like a donkey, a poney, goats. It’s always a hit with our kids!

Bar Bruis

If you are looking for a more adventurous option, Bar Bruis is the place to go. The adventure play area will keep kids busy while you’re enjoying your coffee. They also serve delicious food.

This is also the starting point of hikes in SIlsombos and it is very close to a kids farm, Silsomhof

No matter what kind of kids-friendly café you’re looking for, Brussels and its surrounding areas have plenty of options. Whether you’re looking for a cozy café for a family outing or an adventurous place for a day of fun, there’s something for everyone.
