Best kids-friendly cafés in Brussels

Lloyd Louise

The first recommendation on our list is Lloyd Louise close to Avenue Louise near the city center.

This kids-friendly café has a separate playroom with a variety of toys and books, perfect for a family outing on a rainy day. The café has a wide range of activities for children, from a Lego wall to colorful play mats and toys.

Since the play area is a separate room with glass walls, it is perfect for toddlers and younger kids – and you can just sit and enjoy your coffee while watching the kids playing.

The café also serves delicious food and drinks, so you and your kids can enjoy a tasty meal together. We have a soft spot for their Kinder Bueno donuts!

The café also has a play area with toys and games for children, a fun car, and a café with a wide selection of food and drinks. This café is perfect for a family outing on a rainy day, as it has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon of relaxation and fun.

There is also a small yard in the back. It’s not much, but it’s great for a little break on a sunny day while the kids play.

You will find the updated opening hours on Google maps for this cafe.

There is an entrance fee, EUR 3 per kid.

Another place worth checking out is Chicago. Located in the heart of Brussels near St Catherine, Chicago is a great place for younger kids. The small play corner is suitable for younger kids, especially toddlers and babies.

Pause and Play

In the heart of Ixelles you will find the Pause and Play Café – a haven for families with kids up to 6 years old.

This special spot is more than just a café; it offers an indoor playground that’s a great for rainy days. Little explorers will love the charming rocket and toddlers have their very own space, filled with toys just right for their age.

Parents can savor tasty croissants and cakes or opt for a proper lunch, with vegan dishes on the menu too.

No need to worry about your stroller or bike – there’s ample space for them at the entrance. And if you’re driving? There’s convenient private parking right across the street.

While this play haven offers loads of fun, there’s an entry fee – EUR 6 for kids aged 1-3 and EUR 9 for those aged 3-6.

It’s super popular, so booking in advance is a smart move. If it’s full, they won’t let more folks in, so reserve your spot to ensure a day of play!

If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, head to Leopold café. The small play area is structured like a tree house! There is no eye contact from the tables and due to the rope stair this is not ideal for toddlers.

It’s best for kids 3-5 years old that are old enough to enjoy the tree house and won’t stop climbing up and down. And when it’s time to refuel, the café offers a selection of snacks and drinks for the whole family.
