The park spans 42 acres (17 hectares), so there’s much to photograph. 

The main draw to the park, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, has to be the otherworldly architecture dotted throughout. Most of the buildings, one of which Gaudí lived in, are oddly shaped and covered in mosaics of tiles. You read that right: some of the Setenil de las Bodegas houses are built into a rockface.

Incredibly, many residents in the town built their houses on the surrounding cliff to avoid paying for new roofs. The Plaza de Cibeles is a fascinating square in the heart of the city that plays host to the Cybele Palace and the Fountain of Cybele. You can find the square at the intersection of Calle de Alcalá, Paseo de Recoletos, and Paseo del Prado.

First built during the reign of King Phillip III in 1617, the plaza has various interesting buildings and sculptures to photograph.

The entire plaza is surrounded by a beautiful 17th-century building famed for its two spires. A statue of King Philip III stands proudly in the center of the plaza. Skirting Plaza Mayor are cafes and eateries, providing an excellent place to grab something to eat and plan your next photograph.
