In October, temperatures across Northern Europe start to drop dramatically, with some countries, particularly those in Scandinavia, experiencing freezing temperatures and snowy skies. However, in Southern Europe, the story is very different. In October, many Southern European countries still experience warm to mild temperatures.
Therefore, these countries are the best places to visit if you want to escape cooler weather and enjoy some autumn sunshine and warmth on the beach. Finding some warmth in Greece in October isn’t guaranteed, as many islands might experience lower temperatures—or higher if you are lucky. Let’s face it, who doesn’t. Rhodes Town and its medieval Old Town are the main draw to the island. Here, you’ll find iconic historic landmarks such as the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes and the Colossus of Rhodes monument.
