The Aachen Zoo is a lovely little park with animals and playgrounds just 10 minutes from the center of Aachen. This is a rather small zoo with lots of play areas scattered all around – which makes it perfect for younger kids

Tip
If you are looking for more things to do in Aachen with kids, where to stay and where to eat, then check our guide on Aachen with kids

Aachen Zoo

There are several animals at the Aachen Zoo, otherwise Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo.

Good to know
Aachen Zoo does not accept cards! They only accept cash!

Kids Farm

There is a small kids’ farm with goats and donkeys. Kids can pet the goats and they can get a pony ride there too. You can also buy domestic animals in spring, like chickens and guinea pigs (you need to contact them in advance)

Play Areas

There are a few different play areas scattered around the park. It really is great for younger kids!

But this was our most favorite – be careful, as it’s near the entrance! You can really get stuck 🙂

All in all, we had a good time…

…actually, a great time!!
