Aachen Christmas market is one of our favorite ones! It is so close to Brussels that you can visit for a day. You will find lots of practical details to plan ahead and activities to do with kids in our Aachen Christmas market guide!

Aachen Christmas market
A part of the Christmas market is next to the Cathedral. There are market stalls where you can buy handmade gifts. You can eat something from the stalls at the covered area, if the weather is not cooperating. There are many cafés and restaurants around too, the area is very lively!
The main Christmas market of Aachen is in front of the Town Hall at the market square, with stalls where you can get gluhwein and hot chocolate for you and the kids. Moreover, there is a carousel for kids here. There are many cafés and restaurants around here as well, with our favorite being Barbarella (see post on Aachen for more places to eat)

At Katschhof there is another part of the Christmas market (with another carousel!) This is a few minutes away, just behind the Cathedral
