Namur
Namur, the capital of Wallonia, makes for a great day trip from Brussels! Climb up to the citadel with the cable car and enjoy the panoramic view of the city. The little train going around makes it easy to see even with young kids. Reine Fabiola, a small amusement park is right next to the citadel
Aachen
We love walking around the Cathedral in Aachen, having a café at the Market Square in front of the Townhall and visiting the zoo there. The Christmas market is also lovely!
Ghent

This is a walk to make the most out of Ghent in a day or two and enjoy the architectural gems and some museums
Dinant
The citadel offers a magnificent view of the city of Dinant and the river Meuse; you can reach it by cable car or by climbing 408 steps (!), visit the museums there and enjoy a drink at the terrasse with a panoramic view (and a playground next to it). There is also a boat tour on the Meuse, if you want to see Dinant from water!
