The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is one of the world’s most beautiful canopy walks. For over 3.3 feet (600 meters), you’ll walk along the towering and ancient tingle trees. 

Along each step, you’ll see fascinating wildlife living in the canopy’s ecosystem. The boardwalks were built to move within the forest and even go through one of the trees. 

At the highest point, you can look out over the forested mountains and valleys of western Australia. Some of the trees, Big Red and Grandma Tingle, have been around for centuries and are some of the oldest trees in Australia.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden’s Boomslang Canopy Trail is one of the world’s most beautiful tree top walks. Locals call it the Boomslang, meaning ‘tree snake,’ because it meanders throughout the canopy like a serpent. 

You’ll walk above the trees and see wildlife nestling in the high canopy. Gaze over the surrounding mountains and Cape Flats as you see native fauna and rare birds. 

The elevated walkway is 430 feet (130 meters) long and covers a vast canopy area. The Boomslang is located in the lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, which features exotic plants and manicured hillside gardens.

OCBC Skyway in Singapore

The OCBC Skyway is a beautiful modern marvel that takes tree-top walks to a whole new level. Built in 2011, the 420-feet (128-meter) trail towers over 70 feet (22 meters) above the lush Marina Bay Gardens. 

You’ll walk along towering steel gardens built to look like trees. The structures are covered in living tropical plants on the walls, with colorful lights strewn throughout the walkways and structures. At night, the entire gardens illuminate and create a hypnotic light show. 

After taking in the spectacular views of the canopy, you can tour the rest of the gardens. You’ll see rare plant species and manicured gardens, as well as educational facilities built to inspire sustainable food production and city living.

Selvatura Adventure Park, Costa Rica

Selvatura Adventure Park is located in the heart of central Monteverde, Costa Rica. Here, you’ll be able to walk above the cloud forests and see rare wildlife, including parrots, howler monkeys, snakes, and over 2,500 species of plants. You may even spot a rare quetzal. 

If you want the ultimate tropical eco-adventure, this 550-foot (170-meter) pathway is full of surprises. You’ll cross eight bridges and stare down at the jungle floor over 230 feet (70 meters) below.

Redwoods Treewalk, Rotorua, New Zealand

The Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua is a 2,300-foot-long (700-meter-long) trail that takes you through the canopy of California redwoods. The canopy walk is an award-winning eco-tourism adventure that combines a fantastic nature walk with a modern light show. 

At night, the walkway is lit up by 34 lanterns designed by the world-famous designer David Trubridge. You’ll cross over 28 bridges and 27 platforms where the trees and forest floor will glow below you.

The Golden Hands Bridge stretches above the cloud forests of central Vietnam. Supported by giant concrete hands, it runs above the canopy of trees and overlooks the lush mountains and valleys on the outskirts of the city. 

You’ll feel like you’ve entered a dream, especially when the clouds roll in, and all you can see are the tops of the trees. Nearby, you’ll walk through a fantasy world of natural attractions, gardens, and structures like the Lunar castle. The park also has ornate temples enveloped by trees and flowering plants.
