Tombeau du géant
Save this
-One of the best panoramas in Belgium
-Giant’s tomb, one of the bends of Semois river goes around what looks like a gigantic tomb
-Viewpoint in Botassart village
-Covered picnic tables and parking there
-Several hikes start from there too
-Hike 4, signposted with red rectangle and #4, 2.6km
-Hike 5, signposted with red rectangle and #5, 3.5km
-We did a combination of the two, about 4km
-Essentially you go down to the water level
-Then you need to climb all the way back up, so save some energy!
-There are two viewpoints very close to reach other, Rocher des Hautes and Point de vue de Lyru
-Steep and narrow paths at certain points
-There’s also a slope to sled, might be a bit dangerous
-Not suitable for toddlers and younger kids (4+)
-Not stroller friendly
-It can be combined with the castle in Bouillon
-About 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Schuman, Brussels
