Water Parks in Belgium

Center Parcs

All Centerparcs offer day tickets for their indoor water parks. There are play areas for toddlers and younger kids, water slides for older kids, crazy rivers, and more!

Center Parcs Erperheide is suitable for younger kids. It is smaller than Center Parcs De Vossemeren, so it’s a good choice for toddlers. Indoor waterpark, indoor playground, activities

Center Parcs Terhills

It has only a small indoor pool with a slide and an outdoor pool, not a water park like the rest of Center Parcs in Belgium. There is also a cable park with an inflatable aquapark, where you can book a session for an hour. While it lacks in kids’ activities compared to the rest of Center Parcs, nature around there is beautiful.

Aqualibi

Aqualibi has water slides, wavy pool, kids area… Open year round and just half an hour from Brussels!

Plopsaqua De Panne

Plopsaqua De Panne is an indoor fun water park with water slides and water playgrounds for kids located 1.5 hours from Brussels. There is also Plopsaland, the amusement park next to it. You can stay at the Plopsa hotel with themed rooms.

Plopsaqua Hannut-Landen is an indoor water park with an outdoo water play area for kids. It’s about 35 minutes from Schuman, Brussels.

Provincial Domains

Provincial Domain Hofstade

Hofstade is one of the most popular provincial domains and for good reasons; there is a lake for swimming with a playground on its beach and a café, also many playgrounds for all ages and a café next to them as well. There is also an inflatable aquapark! All these just 20 minutes away from Brussels!

De Nekker offers a lake to swim and a water playground! And also playgrounds for all ages, an indoor pool and more

Tip
The water playground at De Nekker is better for toddlers than the one at Kessel-Lo, as it’s shallow.

De Ster has a lake where you can swim, water slides, an inflatable aquapark. There is also a big playground and a petting zoo. The huge air trampoline is pretty cool too!!

At Blaarmeersen you can swim in the lake, have fun at the water slides or at the playground next to the water. There is also a separate small lake for younger kids

Chevetogne is a vast domain of 600 hectares with playgrounds, sports facilities, forests, lakes, gardens, a farm for kids.. There are also outdoor swimming pools.

Lakes

Natural Preserve Ter Heide

A sandy beach by the shallow lake and a terrasse with a playground next to it makes Ter Heide perfect for families. There are also deer at the other side of the lake. About half an hour from Brussels

Renipont is a small, sandy beach with a slide and a restaurant next to the beach.

Lac de Bambois

Go swimming, have fun at the play structures in the gardens, have an ice cream by the lake and enjoy a family game – you can easily spend the day at Lac du Bambois without getting bored! About an hour drive from Brussels

Relais de Falemprise

Relais de Falemprise is a great place in the area of Lac de l’Eau d’Heure to spend a sunny day with the family. There are jumping castles (and a water slide!), pedal boats, a lake to swim, a frituur with a huge sandpit near the lake. This is 1.5 hour drive from Brussels, makes for a good weekend combined with other attractions of the area (linked in the post)

Lac de l’Eau d’Heure

Plate Taille at Lac de l’Eau d’Heure is a small plage suitable for younger kids with a beach bar and renting of water sports equipment. The water is shallow and the beach sandy. This is near Relais de Falemprise (which is much more fun with jumping castles and all). About 1.5 hour drive from Brussels

Provincial Domain Kessel-Lo

One of the best water playgrounds, if not the best, is at provincial domain Kessel-Lo. There are also playgrounds for all ages, a few animals, a lake and a heated outdoor swimming pool!

De Nekker offers a lake to swim and a water playground! And also playgrounds for all ages, an indoor pool and more

The water playground at De Nekker is better for toddlers than the one at Kessel-Lo, as it’s shallow.

‘t Soete Dal

‘t Soete Dal is a family friendly outdoor swimming pool with a playground for all ages. There are also animals to pet (ponies, alpacas) and a restaurant by the pool. This is about an hour away from Brussels

Oostduinkerke

This heated outdoor swimming pool has a smal play area for younger kids. It is right next to the beach of Oostduinkerke, where you can rent carts and have fun at the small playground. Oostduinkerke is also home to the Shrimp fishermen on horseback, a tradition for over 500 years that you can see only in Oostduinkerke nowadays!

Tip
Keep in mind that in most pools you will need a bonnet (swimming cap) and at most pools only tight swimming suits are allowed for boys and men (short or long, but tight, not surfer’s style).

Espadon

Espadon has a small shallow pool for kids in the back with a few play structures. Great place for toddlers!

You need a bonnet to enter (swimming cap, they also sell these at the entrance).
