Trails Galore: Sonian Forest is a hiker’s dream. There are numerous paths to explore.

Kid-Friendly Fun: Head to the Jezus Eik Speelbos. It’s sprinkled with play structures and fun assignments. Once done, kids can compare their results with forest animals.

Natural Playground: At the Woudpoort, there’s a small but fun playground. It’s right behind where the ponies hang out.

Picnic Ready: After your hike, relax at one of the available picnic tables.

Meet The Ponies: Remember those cute ponies from Parc Malou? They’ve moved here. You can visit them on Saturdays and Sundays (10:00-17:30) and Wednesdays (from 15:00). Just ring up in advance at 📞 0474/55.63.93 to make sure they’re around.

Pro Tips:

  • Got some carrots or apples? The ponies would love a treat!
  • Approximate rates for pony rides:
    • 30 min = EUR 15
    • 40 min = EUR 20
    • 60 min = EUR 25
  • Safety first! Bring your bike helmet or they’ll provide a riding one.
  • Parking’s a breeze with spots available on the street. And, for those moments, there are toilets at Woudpoort.

This place isn’t just about nature and animals; it’s about the lovely people behind it all. The family running this venture has been doing so for 30 years. They’re truly welcoming, especially the kind-hearted lady managing the ponies.
