Sahara Lommel

-Sahara in Lommel offers a unique combination of forest and sand together with some play structures
-Due to the former zinc factory the greenery disappeared
-There are play structures in Sahara, like the willow huts, a 25m tunnel and a big snake
-There is also a watchtower to get a panoramic view
-The following walks are available (see last pic for map):
Blue: 2.9km (children’s walk)
Orange: 5.9km
Red: 12km
Brown (connection Center Parcs Vossemeren): 1km
-You can borrow a hammock for free at the Soeverein (where the parking is, see address at the end of the post). You can either pay a deposit of EUR50 or leave your identity card (both to be given back when you return the hamock). You can also borrow a baby hammock!! (Hammocks are available 15.03-15.10)

-It can be combined with the Dolfijn playground and Skatepark Lommel, it’s a 5 minutes walk from the parking for Sahara (Dolfijn has its own parking too, so you can go by car). More details here:
