Rheinhardstein castle
You can visit the Rheinhardstein castle or see it from different angles with a 6km hike!
The hike is not suitable for toddlers and young kids (4+ years old would be best). It is a bit tough at the beginning, the rest of the trail is easy. Follow the blue trail, it’s signposted -Lots of mud and rocks -A few bridges passing the river -Napoleon’s nose, a rock formation with great view -Many signposted hikes in the area, check last pics -Not stroller friendly, not wheelchair friendly -Chalet near the beginning of the trail (closed for now) -About 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Schuman, Brussels
This is part of the post on Hautes Fagnes: beautiful nature throughout the year – particularly in winter. Here are some places to visit with kids and tips on restaurants and playgrounds
Here’s the beginning of the trail. Park anywhere around there (no parking available, just along the road) Barrage de Robertville Rue du Barrage, 4950 Waimes https://maps.app.goo.gl/gbPiSZcoRWHbi5bo9
