Hofstade is more than just a provincial domain, it’s a slice of heaven. Imagine this: A tranquil lake perfect for a refreshing swim, complete with its own beachside playground. Oh, and did I mention the café just a stone’s throw away?
But we’re not stopping at one playground – there’s something for everyone here, no matter the age. Lots of playgrounds and yet another café right next to them. It’s the ultimate day out, all conveniently 20 minutes away from Brussels.
Playgrounds
At Hofstade, you’ll find playgrounds galore, each tailored to different age groups. The cherry on top? There’s a handy café right next to the kiddie zone.
So, while the youngsters are having a blast, you can kick back with a drink, all while keeping a watchful eye on them. Convenience and fun, all rolled into one!
Lake for Swimming
Hofstade truly shines during the summer months. It boasts a large lake complemented by a sandy beach that adds to its charm.
For the little ones, a playground is conveniently located on the beach. Moreover, there is a café situated nearby, where you can also grab something to eat.
The beach is shallow, making it an excellent choice for families with kids. It truly is a place where fun and carefree summer memories are made.
During the summer, Hofstade serves as an ideal spot for swimming. Additionally, an aquapark with inflatable structures adds an element of fun and excitement.
You need to reserve and pay to access the beach during the high season, but the rest of the domain is always free (you also need to pay EUR 5 for parking for the day).
You can buy tickets for the beach and the aqua park here.
Tip
Make sure you book the Zone 1, Orange, with the playground!
More Activities
Hofstade encourages active fun for the kids. You can take a leisurely stroll or a lively bike ride around the lake, with bicycles available for the younger ones.
For the more adventurous, there’s a climbing course designed specifically for kids aged 8 and above. However, keep in mind that reservations are required and there’s a fee.
But the fun doesn’t stop there – the BMX course is sure to bring thrills and giggles for the little ones. At Hofstade, there’s always something exciting to explore for every kid!
