I Love Science Activities for Kids

The biggest hit was catching a thief!
We had to follow clues and apply logic to find who did it.

The detective that helped us solve the mystery was top notch!

Coding and robots are everywhere, as expected.

There were also some good old experiments and microscopes

One of the most fun parts was to find Pokemon pieces in the slime in order to create Pikachu

In a VR exrerience my son saw a puffer fish. This was much better compared to the anglerfish he saw last year and scared him! I tried it also this year and the galaxy experience is stunning

There is a mini planetarium there with projections about space

There are some hands on workshops. In one you can create a moving electric “bird”. You get to play with circuits and decorate it as well

That’s the result!

You can create an object and test if it flies – that was lots of fun!

We loved the talk of Dirk Frimout, the first Belgian astronaut to go into space. Kids were asking things like “what do astronauts eat in space”

Also pretty cool were the hands on workshops

There are just so many cool things to do! We love this event!!

For What Age Is I Love Science Festival?

This event is more suited to school-age kids, 6+ years old. There are not many things targeted towards younger kids. We had our 3-year-old with us, and although they were interested in what was happening, I would not recommend this for toddlers!

A science museum would be more suited to younger kids, as there are sections specifically designed for them. Of course, a science museum is a great option for when the I Love Science festival is over. Read more about Science Museums below!
