We’ll start this list with one of our favorite European countries: Greece. This beautiful nation is famed for its fascinating history, rich culture, picturesque islands, and wall-to-wall sunshine. Loved by beachgoers, history buffs, and partygoers, Greece offers endless things to see and do year-round.

However, you’ll likely want to visit in summer, when temperatures consistently hit 86°F (30°C). The capital, Athens, has iconic landmarks such as the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Meanwhile, Greek islands like Rhodes and Corfu are home to medieval Old Towns and fortresses. Crete and Kefalonia offer glorious white sand beaches if you’d prefer to soak up the sun. Alternatively, party hard in Mykonos and Zante.

Belgium
