There’s a Christmas market near the Cathedral. There are several stalls with handmade gifts. If it’s bad weather, you can eat under a covered spot.
There are many cafés and restaurants around the Cathedral. The area is very lively.
We like to grab a quick meal at Hanswurst, right by the Cathedral.

Christmas Market at Market Square
The main Aachen Christmas market is at the market square by the Town Hall. You can find stalls with gluhwein and hot chocolate, and there’s a carousel for kids too.
Lots of cafés and restaurants are nearby. We love Barbarella for their awesome cupcakes!

Christmas Market at Katschhof
Katschhof has another section of the Christmas market and another carousel! It’s just a short walk behind the Cathedral.
